Main Characters

• Sumire Iwaya (巌谷澄麗) - Journalist at a major newspaper. She has studied at both Tokyo University and Harvard and had jumped to the top of her career in a short time. She is very tall (170cm) and beautiful as well, so many men feel inferior to her. Because her Ex dumped her for this reason, she refuses to date anyone unless they have the three 'highs': Higher pay, Higher education, & Higher height.

• Momo (モモ)/Takeshi Gouda (合田武志) - A homeless man taken in by Sumire. He dreams to be a famous dancer, but because he's short he does not receive the lead in most productions. He has agreed to stay Sumire's pet for taking him into her home.

• Shigehito Hasumi (蓮實　滋人) - An old crush of Sumire's who has re-entered her life. He has no idea of 'Momo' and belives that Takeshi Goda is Sumire's cousin.

History

Sumire is a hard-working career woman who gets in trouble for being too forthright at the office. She's stressed out by her ex-boyfriend and not very happy with her job. One day she finds a beaten-up boy in a cardboard box outside her apartment building. She takes him in, fixes him up, and names him Momo after her childhood pet. Tramps Like Us is an unlikely romance.
